Manhattan Sessions

"Manhattan Sessions" is Valerio Piccolo's recording debut. 9 of the 10 songs of the album have been recorded in New York, in two different sessions, under the artistic supervision of Mike Visceglia, long-time bass player and musical director for Suzanne Vega and also sideman for artists like Jackson Brown and John Cale.

Many special guests gave their notes to this project: besides the "New York Band" (Mike Visceglia plays together with Marc Shulman, Joe Bonadio and Gary Schreiner), we find the "Italian touch" of Massimo Roccaforte, guitarist from Carmen Consoli's famous Italian band. Roccaforte produces one of the most intense tracks of the album, "La chiave del regno", playing together with Gionata e Andrea Costa (cello and violin from the Italian cult band Quintorigo)
